Olamide Hints At Retirement After His Next Album, Says “It’s Been A Mad A*s Run.”

YBNL leader, Olamide has reported that he may be resigning after his next album.
The multiple Award-winning Rapper made the declaration in a post on his Twitter page. Olamide uncovered that his next album might be his final one. As revealed by him, the supposed retirement album is 95% ready and he doesn’t have any idea of when he will be releasing it, yet, it will come out this year 2022.

Olamide has the reputation of dropping an album every year starting from 2011 when he dropped Rapsodi that held memorable songs like Eni Duro and Omo Toh Shan. In 2012, he dropped the monumental Yahoo Boy No Laptop (YBNL) album that hit us with songs like First Of All and Voice Of The Street. In 2013, he gave us Baddest Guy Ever Liveth with hit songs like Eleda Mi, Turn Up, Durosoke, and Yemi My Lover. In 2014, he blessed us with Street OT with monster hits like Skelemba, Goons Mi, Falila Ketan, and Story For The Gods. Olamide went berserk in the same 2014 and gave us a collaborative album with Phyno that had the unforgettable Ladi.

In 2015, he gave us the Eyan Mayweather album that blessed us with so many hit tracks like Eyan Mayweather, Don’t Stop, Matters Arising, Lagos Boys, Melo Melo, and the popular dance song, Bobo. In 2016, he dropped The Glory album with hit songs like Letter to Milli, Pepper Dem Gang, Owo Blow, and Who You Epp. Still blowing hot, in 2017, he gave us the Lagos Nawa album with hit songs like Oro Pawpaw, Wo, and Wo Spiritual. In 2018, Olamide dropped a collaborative EP with Eniola Badmus titled Ghetto Bred.

In 2019, Olamide decided to put the whole gang on and gave us the Mafia Family album with hit songs like Picazo’s Macaroni, Fireboy’s Jealous, Fire Down, and I’ll Be Fine, Lil kesh’s Le Le Yi, and Yomi Blaze’s Ika.

Olamide surprised us with the 999 album early in 2020 with the monster hit, Wonma. In the same 2020, he bestowed upon us a gem that is Carpe Diem with monster hits like Infinity, Eru, Another level, Triumphant, Shilalo, Loading, and Plenty.


In 2021, he decided to experiment with his range with the UY Scuti album but still delivered us with hits like Rock and Julie.

It’s 2022 and now, Olamide is telling us this might be the last year he feeds us with an album. Emotions are all over the place. We don’t want him to stop but at the same time, we’re happy for him. Olamide has done more than drop albums every year. He has given countless upcoming artists an opportunity at stardom. The Hit machine!

Olamide consoled us that are his fans and admirers of his music with the consolation that he will occasionally drop singles when he feels like it. Baddo’s next album is named Unruly and will be his twelfth Studio album.
