ASUU: STRIKE ACTION CONTINUES

The meeting held yesterday by the Academic Staff Union of Universities seems to have brought forth comforting news to those that are yet to start reading.

According to the news published by the Vanguard in the early hours of today:

Although the union has not made any public statement regarding the outcome of the meeting, a source told Vanguard that members resolved at the meeting held in an undisclosed location that the industrial action be extended for two more months.

Another source from the union also made the unofficial extended strike action known to Premium Times:

Yes, we have extended the strike by eight weeks pending when the Nigerian government would find the university system worthy of the desired attention. A statement is currently being drafted to that effect. We will make it available soon.
