Nigerian Nominees For The 64th Grammy Awards

The Grammy Awards is an international award presented to individuals that made outstanding achievements every year and we’re so excited to have our favorite artistes among the Nominees

Fingers crossed that at least one of them wins it.

The 64th Grammy Award show will be held tomorrow at Las Vegas, MGM Grand Garden Arena, at 1 am WAT.

There are five nominees from Nigeria, they include:

1) Wizkid

Our Very own Wizkid had two nominations. His very own viral sensation “Essence” in which he featured Tems was nominated for the Best Global Music Performance. Wizkid’s ‘Made in Lagos’ Album was nominated for the Best Global Music Album.

2) Fela Kuti

Fela Kuti also bagged two nominations. His single ‘pa pa pa’ was nominated for the Best Global Music Performance. He and His son, Made Kuti‘s album ‘Legacy +’ also made the same category as Wizkid’s Album.

3) Burna Boy

Burna earned himself a Nomination with his single with Angélique Kidjo in the Same Category as Wizkid and Fela Kuti.

4) Tems

Tems’ nomination is as a result of the Wonderful Collaboration with Wizkid on the song ‘Essence’.

5) Made Kuti

Made Kuti’s work on Legacy + with his father earned him his Grammy nomination.
