Nigeria Higher Education Foundation (NHEF) 2022 Scholars Program For Young Nigerian Undergraduates

The NHEF Scholars Program aims at assisting undergraduate students who are studying in any of the NHEF Partner Universities in Nigeria for the 2022 academic session. The program is designed to identify and assist young students who are scholars and have demonstrated excellence in their academics. It aims at providing these scholars with skill-building practices and career learning that will help train them for career development. The career development training plays a pivotal role in facilitating an easy transition into the global workforce.

The aim of the founders and moderators of this program is to address skill gaps in key sectors of the economy through the provision of a variety of skills acquisition and career training. The NHEF provides world-class training to its scholars which prepares them ahead for the competition to be faced in the job market. NHEF offers talented students the opportunity to enter the corporate sector through leading companies in key industries in Nigeria. These key industries include financial services, corporate law, engineering, and technology.

Eligibility

• Only students enrolled in an NHEF partner university in their penultimate year can apply for the NHEF scholars program. The NHEF partner universities are Ahmadu Bello University (ABU); Bayero University Kano; University of Ibadan; University of Lagos; University of Port-Harcourt; University of Nigeria, Nsukka; Kwara State Universities.

• Students enrolled the year before last (penultimate year), in the third year of a 4-year study program, or the fourth year of a five-year study program can apply too. The NHEF will check the registration of each applicant with the Registrar of the University if such applicant is enrolled.

• The entitlement depends on an applicant’s degree program.
