The video was directed by Clarence Peters. “Johnny” was nominated for Best Pop Single and Song of the Year at The Headies in 2014. Yemi Alade’s Johnny is so melodious to dance to with the story revolving around a playboy who lured several ladies and got them pregnant.

Chidinma Ekele is a former pop singer but now a gospel singer and songwriter. She rose to stardom in the year 2010 after winning the third season of Project Fame. During this period, she was in the Capital Hill Label.

Simi Bolatito Kosoko is another well-known female Afro-Pop artiste with a melodic and alluring voice.

In 2019, Simi left X3M Label to set up her own personal label called “Studio Brat”. Her song, Duduke was a big hit in 2020 and most Nigerians can sing the song offhand.

Duduke was released on April 15, 2020, and produced by Oscar. In the music video, the female artiste flaunted her baby bump revealing she was pregnant.

7. Yemi Alade (Bum Bum – 44M)

Yemi Alade’s songs keep receiving recognition and admiration from Nigerians and other Africans. On YouTube, she’s the number one female pop-artistes whose songs have the highest views. You can see that in this top 10 list, her songs appeared five times with “Johnny” topping the list.
