Remember To Eat Dates To Break Your Fast

Ma Shaa Allah, one of the food products we could easily purchase during the Ramadan season is the dates, commonly known as “daibinu” around us. Dates are sweet and remarkable for their versatility, they could be incorporated into our dishes, we could make milkshakes and chilling drinks out of them. Dates could be utilised to make cookies and other food varieties.

In addition, there are religious and medical reasons why it is appropriate to break our fast with dates. The Prophet (PBUH) stated that eating dates is the best way to break a fast, it its absence however, we should break our fast using water.

Keep your body hydrated by drinking adequate amounts of water. Although you would be fasting from sunrise to sunset, take enough water during the period between Iftar and Sahur.

Also increase your intake of fruits and vegetables such as; oranges, cucumber, tomato, lettuce, watermelon and so on during Sahur and Iftar.

It is understandable to feel tired, but brothers and sisters, as tired as we may be after the long day, let’s strive to keep our body active by taking walks in the evening. Walking would give you the chance to stretch your legs, burn some calories exercise your body.
