NUC FULLY ACCREDITS 27 UNDERGRADUATES COURSES IN UI

The University of Ibadan, certified as the best university in Nigeria, has received full accreditation from the National Universities Commission (NUC) for 27 of its undergraduates courses. The undergraduates programs fully accredited is across seven faculties in the university.

A letter stating the approval of the 27 courses was sent in, from the Office of the Executive Secretary of the NUC, Prof. Abubakar Rasheed to the University’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Kayode Adebowale.

The fully accredited courses in Faculty of Arts include : German, Igbo, Linguistics, Music, Philosophy and Theatre Arts.

The fully accredited courses in Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences are : Physiology, Physiotherapy, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, and Environmental Health Science.

In the Faculty of Technology, Civil Engineering, Food Technology, Industrial and Production Engineering as well as Wood Products Engineering were fully accredited. Veterinary Medicine was approved in Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Architecture in Faculty of Environmental Design and Management. In the Faculty of Education, Early Childhood Education, Arabic Education, Economics Education, Islamic Studies; Health Education and Human Kinetics were accredited. In Faculty of Science, Computer and Geology we’re fully accredited.

The approval of the fully accredited courses had followed an accreditation process which had taken place in October/November 2021 at University of Ibadan.
