In a circular forwarded by the DSA, the strike is further verified to have been suspended as he welcomes the students after the prolonged strike.
The DSA, Dr Obalola, sympathised with the students and made mention of the strike being suspended even though FG is yet to meet the demands of ASUU.

The circular reads in part:
“While the University Senate will meet to adjust the Academic calendar, we’ll ensure that the hostels are in a ready state to welcome you back into the campus.
I will keep you informed as soon as the adjusted calendar is ready and when you can move into campus and the hostel”.
