A final year student of the Federal University, Oye in Ekiti state lost his life in a ghastly accident in Akure, Ondo state. This happened two days ago, on the 21st of June, 2022.
Oluwadare Oluwafemi, the accident victim and deceased was a mobile technician who met death at his early stage of life. He was on his way home, after leaving his workshop, when his motorcycle ran into some building materials stacked beside the road.
The residents, who were at the scene when the accident occurred, decried that placing such harsh building materials (granite and sand) by the roadside was an inappropriate act.
The event is quite saddening as young Oluwafemi had just a few months to complete his tertiary education although the ASUU strike has put that on a hold. There is no report on who had placed building materials by the roadside or if the person has been nabbed and reprimanded.
However, Oluwafemi’s acquaintances have shared condolences with his family, bringing up how good the deceased was while he was alive.
