You know what’s really funny, this happened on a Sunday. He says he has cleared all legal conditions and is free to leave Cotonou. This is coming after 2 years of trial by the Beninese government.

Naria Marley’s lawyer has stepped out to announce that Mr. Marley had nothing to do with Mohbad’s passing. His lawyer, Olalekan Ojo was seen talking to daddy freeze in a video chat. During the call, he says that in the viral video where Sam Larry tries to bully Mohbad and Zlatan stops him during a video shoot was grossly misinterpreted by the public. Mr Kanu, current coach of Enyimba football club appeared at the Pantami stadium to support his team. They eventually lost to Gombe United 2-0 but fans were excited regardless to see him. Apparently, he was last seen in the state in 2010 during the opening of the township stadium.

 

Man arrested in Edo after allegedly raping, seven-year-old daughter.

Felix Iloghevbo has been taken into custody after allegedly defiling his seven year old daughter. The State Police Command’s spokesperson said that the suspect committed the crime on the 19th of September. Acting on credible information, the police decided to arrest the suspect. He eventually confessed to the crime while the victim was taken to a medical centre.

 

Trader dies in an accident while a Mob proceeds to light up the vehicle.

So, I wrote the headline wondering why, and here’s what happened. Apparently, a heavy-duty vehicle collided with a commercial bus, claiming the life of a commercial trader in the process. This happened in Imo state on Sunday. Her head got chopped off in the accident. Then, some unknown youth arrived on the scene to set the bus on fire. Thankfully, the other victims had been taken to a hospital by this time.

 

Two persons kidnapped in Gombe.

The Gombe state police command confirmed the kidnap of two people from the Dukku local government area. The public relations office has confirmed the state’s willingness to work with the local government vigilante group to find the victims.

A Nigerian man known as Abu_Sadeeq on twitter shares his latest achievement with everyone. He graduated with a third class after fourteen years and his post attracted a lot of attention. ASUU definitely didn’t cause this one though. Someone supported him by commenting underneath, “Idan no dey graduate on time.

 

Nigerian university award doctorate to inventors without formal education… Nawa.

Well, I’m guessing he must’ve really deserved it. The Gombe state university said that it’s ready to confer an honorary doctorate degree on Abdulhadi Usman for inventing a radio transmitter among other impressive gadgets in the 1970s. Soon to be Dr. Usman is seventy and a self-trained engineer.

The institution made this decision to promote language among the students. The vice chancellor has made it compulsory for 100 level and 200 level students and says that they must now pass it to graduate.

Breathe and take deep breaths, very good. Alright, I’m glad to announce that Campbellsville University in Kentucky, United States is not suspending admission for Nigerian students. They decide to publicly denounce these rumours after seeing some false information on Twitter. The institution doesn’t deny admission based on nationality.

The Israeli military has announced that there is currently no ongoing fighting between Israel and the Hamas militants. It has retaken control of all of it’s surrounding communities. Israel has formally launched war against the Islamist group Hamas after an attack which killed 700 people in Israel.

 

Earthquake hits Western Afghanistan, 2000 people killed.

The Taliban said on Sunday that more than 2000 people have died in an earthquake that struck Afghanistan. The earthquake had a magnitude of 6.3 and struck 25 miles west of the Herat city province, the third largest city in Afghanistan.

British man missing after Hamas attack on Israeli music festival.

 

 

Jack Marlowe, a 26-year-old Briton has not been heard from since the Hamas attack on the festival in southern Israel. According to his mother, he had been working as part of the security team for the festival. She says the last mode of communication she had was a troubling text where he hints at the fact that there might be trouble and tells her he loves her.

 

1000 birds die after smashing into conference hall windows.

Yeah, you read that correctly. 1000 songbirds have passed after slamming into a glass fronted exhibition Centre window in Chicago. Birds don’t understand that they can’t fly through the glass and often head towards them because they see bushes or plants reflected on them.

On the 12th of August 2020 three people died when the ScotRail train derailed near Carmont, Stonehaven. Though specifics cannot be discussed, the victims have been awarded one million euros in damages. At a high court in Aberdeen, Network rail, the guilty party admitted to a series of failings that resulted in the deaths.
