The Ghanaian song “Kwaku the traveller” is a hit song by Black Sherif. It was released on March 31st, 2022, and rose to the very top of Apple Music’s top 100 Nigeria by the 3rd of April. It’s still number 1 today.

Black Sherif is the first Ghanaian Artiste to top Nigerian Apple Music Chart

Kwaku The Traveller” has also garnered international recognition as it is currently number 73 on the Apple music top 100 global music chart.

This makes me wonder if Black Sherif is the greatest or if Nigerians just prefer his sound to other artists, likely the latter though.

Nigerians have been talking about the lyrics of this song especially a part that states “Of course, I fucked up. Who never fucked up? Hands in the air. No hands?”

The lesson from this song is about rising from mistakes, it tells the story of the artiste’s resilience after his mistakes and how he kept going despite that.
