There are some musicians that have received accreditation in the streets. They are very popular and have made their style easily welcomed in the street. By their fruits (songs), you shall know them. Some of them are from our hood.

10. MOH BAD

Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba is known by his stage name, Mohbad. He is a Yoruba singer signed under Naira Marley in 2019

Mohbad has released hits like ‘Komajensun’, ‘Ponmo’ ‘KPK’, gearing the streets with his talents. He has a net worth of about $300k dollars.

This young singer has been accused on various occasions of copying Zlatan Ibile’s style and it’s more coincidental as they sound alike.

9. PORTABLE

This Zazuu zeh popular singer’s name is Habeeb Okikiola but he is popularly known as Portable. He jas a net worth of about $700k dollars. Under the record label of Zeh nation, Portable is an Afrobeats singer that came into the limelight after his contribution to the song ‘Zazoo zeh’ which featured Olamide and the popular dancer, Poco Lee

Portable is well known for calling out his partners, claiming they scammed him or something. Most of his fans are tired because there seems to always be news about him, each passing day. Earlier in the year, the singer had come out to claim that he was the founder of the ‘One Million Boys’, a cult group that caused serious havoc and were causing problems to citizens although he renounced the declaration later on.

8. SMALL DOCTOR

“Small doctor gbagaun eyeyey, gbagaun. I dey kill mosquito well well”. You stay in Agege particularly and you don’t know small doctor? Shon wyne? His real name is Adekunle Temitope and he is a fuji and afro pop Yoruba singer from Ondo state. Small Doctor came into limelight when his hit ‘Penalty’ won award for the best street pop at Headies 2018. He went on to release singles like ‘Gbagaun’, ‘Anobi’ and ‘Mosquito killer’

Small doctor was once detained for threatening to shoot a police officer and having firearms at his disposal although all charges were dropped after a magistrate court in Ebute stepped in – it wasn’t even up to 24 hours. This happened in 2018 which was majorly Small Doctor’s self reveal year.

Small doctor has a net worth of about $2 million. His full vibes made the street embrace him and it was fun while it lasted.

7. LIL KESH

Keshinro Ololade was a singer and rapper under the YBNL label, he joined in 2014. He was signed by Olamide who transformed this young star and treated him like his own brother. You can see this love in some of their collaborations, some of which are ‘Shoki’, ‘Bang’ and so on. 

Keshi came into the limelight with his hit ‘Shoki’ which he released in 2014. He went on to release other singles like ‘Efejoku’, ‘Gbese’, ‘is it because I love you’, ‘Don’t call me’ which shook the streets following its release.

Keshinro has a net worth of about $1.5 million.

6. ZINOLEEZKY

 

Another boy brought up in Agege, Zino’s success journey still amazes some. His real name is Oniyude Azeez and he hails from Ogun state. He got signed to Marlian Music back in 2020 and since then, he has made a name for himself in the streets. Zini has a net worth of about $1.1 million dollars. 

Zino has released many hit singles that were created with nice beats. Some of them are ‘Kilofeshe’, ‘Keep on rocking’, ‘Mapariwo’ among others. He also uses Yoruba language to sing some of his songs. Zino is another popular Marlian street singer, it is safe to say that’s Marlian’s singing style.

6. PHYNO

Phyno, Phyno. As we’ve gotten our fair share of Yoruba street musicians, Phyno stands out and represents the Igbo culture. Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike is a Nigerian igbo rapper and singer from Anambra state. He has bagged many award titles and nominations and had been nominated for Man of the year back in 2013. Phyno has a net worth of about $10 million

He and Flavour have been said to bring back Igbo highlife music. Phyno came to the limelight in 2012 after being featured in Olamide’s ‘Ghost Mode’ and he has released hits like ‘Father Father’, ‘Highway’ and many more.

7. ZLATAN

Omoniyi Temidayo, popularly known as Zlatan Ibile, is a rapper and singer. In November 2018, he released a single hit ‘Zanku’ which amassed a great audience for him from the streets. He has collaborated with musicians with the same singing style he has like Olamide, Chinko Ekun and Lil Kesh and has a net worth of $1.8 million dollars. 

After rocking for a while with ‘Zanku’, he went on to release street worthy songs like ‘Killin them’, ‘Osanle’, ‘Am I a Yahoo Boy? ‘ and ‘Chichi”. Zlatan is really a king on the streets.

He has hits singles to his name that the streets embraced immediately it was dropped like ‘issa goal’, ‘Opotoyi’, ‘Tesumole’, ‘Am I a Yahoo boy‘, ‘Chi chi’ and many others.

2. ASAKE

 

 

Having already earned the nickname Terminator, Asake just dey drop content for boys. Ahmed Ololade is a vibrant Nigerian afrobeats singer that is entertaining the streets at the moment. He uses the stage name, Asake, in honour of his mother. He became a star after Olamide signed him and since then, Asake just dey serve us hot hot.

He released ‘Omo ope’, went on to release ‘Sungba’, didn’t even allow the excitement to go down before releasing ‘Terminator’, ‘Peace be unto you’ and making a remix of ‘Sungba’. Isn’t it plenty?? Make I go collect soap from Asake.

1. OLAMIDE

Popularly known as the king of the streets that has been ruling from time memorial, Olamide Gbenga, is one of the biggest Nigerian musicians. Olamide has been serving us right from the time of ‘Eniduro’, ‘Durosoke’ and ‘Yemi my lover‘. He was born in Bariga and is already married with two sons. He has a lot of awards and nominations to his name and has hinted on retirement

Some of his hit singles are ‘Wo’, ‘Science student’, ‘Motigbana’, ‘Rock’ and others. Olamide is popularly known as Baddo sneh, a name he got in his early days. His music style changed after he went on a hiatus and came back with ‘Rock’, it was at this point we realized our King has grown so much.
